Screen Capture by Snagite-Q High Frequency Tester for Laparoscopic Instruments, Monopolar and Bipolar Cords, Bipolar Forceps, Electrosurgical Pencils, and more!

Routine testing of laparoscopic instruments is a critical first step in preventing patient burns and reducing the risk of shock and fire in the O.R.  Testing should be done prior to every use, prior to tray assembly.  Any faulty instruments (indicated by an audible and visual alarm) should be removed immediately from the tray and service by your vendor-of-choice.
There are several products on the market today for testing laparoscopic instruments, but the e-Q tester offered by Capital Medical Resources is distinctive:

  • Tests laparoscopic instruments, AND bipolar and monopolar cords, bipolar forceps, and electrosurgical pencils.
  • Unlike other devices, there are no additional disposables or consumables to purchase.
  • Designed for use in SPD and Biomed.
  • Easy to use and poses very limited shock risk to the end user.
  • Weighs 4 lbs.  Dimensions: 9-1/2″ x 8″ x 4-1/2″.
  • Free training and demonstrations.

Find 5 or 6 working bipolar cords from the “junk-box” and you’ve paid for the unit!
